These days, you can find scooters that hit 100 mph, trucks that run entirely on electric power, and even models that go over 700 miles on a single charge. Every company is trying to differentiate their product from others by adding features – more mileage, power, luxury, personalization. But now, there’s something a little different: a car with an actual face and it interacts with others, something not common on the traffic, but it could become a trend. That is what they are hoping.

Faraday Future is working on something different

Faraday Future — a California-based company that’s had a hard time getting going, having delivered only 16 units of its FF 91 since 2023 — has been working quietly on an electric minivan for a while now. The company is famous for creating cars with AI assistants to help the driver have a better experience – as well as the passengers. They got minivans, sedans and hatch models.

This week, the company finally unveiled the FX Super One at its headquarters. It’s an all-electric MPV, and the highlight is something called The F.A.C.E., short for Front AI Communication Ecosystem. Which is a front grille that lights up and reacts, turning the car’s face into a kind of digital display using LED tech.

The F.A.C.E. is a new AI feature that no other car has

The F.A.C.E. gives the FX Super One a unique personality in a vehicle class that rarely gets attention for design. It can interact with people using voice recognition, light cues, and basic responses — but only while the car is parked to avoid accidents. At the center of the vehicle’s system is what Faraday Future calls its EAI Embodied Intelligence setup. This AI-based platform not only powers the talking grille, but also runs the voice commands, media features, and driver assistance tools.

The FX Super One is a fully electric multipurpose vehicle, and it’ll be sold under Faraday Future’s new high-end brand, Faraday X — similar to how Lexus fits into Toyota’s lineup. Still, the FX Super One isn’t entirely original. It’s based on a minivan from China — the Wey Gaoshan by Great Wall Motors. But Faraday made a few changes of its own, including a new front end, 20-inch wheels, and black detailing. What makes the FX stand out is the refined exterior and a longer wheelbase, measuring about 130 inches (3,302 mm).

The best parts from other models

The vehicle uses a high-strength steel frame from the Chinese model, and the standard version will feature two electric motors with all-wheel drive. There’s also a plan for an “AI Hybrid Extended Range” version. This would work like an EREV — where a small gas engine charges the battery to extend range.

Inside, the FX Super One is all about comfort. Buyers can choose between two or three rows, seating either four, six, or seven passengers. The interior includes foldable trays, a 17.3-inch screen, a small fridge, a moonroof, and reclining captain’s chairs. Even the third row has heating, cooling, and powered adjustments.

Remember: It is a luxury vehicle that fits well in the daily use

For those looking for a luxury shuttle vibe, Faraday is also working on a four-seat version called the GOAT Edition. It comes with more premium features, like a retractable panoramic display, an upgraded platform, and Dolby Atmos sound. Faraday says the Super One aims to offer a middle ground between luxury and practicality. The vehicle will also come with all-wheel drive and plenty of safety features, including sensors and cameras like LiDAR, radar, and ultrasonic detectors. There’s no official price yet, but estimates suggest it will start around $70,000, possibly going up to Escalade-level pricing depending on the trim.

Our coverage of events affecting companies is purely informative and descriptive.
