A noteworthy change to look forward to is Virginia&#8217;s increase in the standard deduction for tax years January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2026. The deductions increased to $8,750 for single filers and $17,500 for married joint filers.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, back to the refunds. If you have not, you <strong>still have some time<\/strong> until the deadline. The sooner you file your returns, the sooner you will receive your refund. Virginia&#8217;s tax refund program aligns with various other states that are distributing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoportal.net\/en\/new-stimulus-checks-100-confirmed\/10462\/\">stimulus checks<\/a> and tax refunds to financially assist their residents directly.<\/p>\n<h2>Payments will be distributed on these dates<\/h2>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tax.virginia.gov\/rebate\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Virginia Department of Taxation<\/a>, all 2024 income tax returns must be filed by the deadline of November 3, 2025, for qualifying taxpayers to receive a refund.
