Any form of financial support this winter will be welcome, especially considering that the Met Office has released amber and yellow weather warnings for some regions in the UK, with significant snow and ice hitting several locations since Thursday. As November is traditionally considered the last month of autumn, imagine the cold we can expect in ‘true’ winter.

True winter style requires plentiful heating

It seems as though the UK is getting a little taste of what lies ahead in winter, as several parts of the UK will be experiencing colder weather, with ‘harsh frost’ expected at week’s end, as per a weather report by the Met Office. As stated by Neil Armstrong, the Met Office’s Chief Forecaster:

“Cold Arctic air from the north is firmly in charge of the UK’s weather, bringing the first notable cold snap of this autumn and giving an early taste of winter weather.”

We are all aware that the drop in temperatures means an increase in household heating. As preparations for the upcoming season to stay warm are underway, concerns about higher energy bills are also on the rise. Fortunately, several winter programmes are ready for the taking.
