Seeking confirmation in a world with so many uncertainties is very common and highly relatable. Whether it is to validate your belief system or to feel more certain and secure. One group of people in particular received confirmation on their next payment date. This group could get up to $5,108 in just 11 days, giving them renewed confirmation when it comes to their financial security. See today if you are among the group who will be paid soon.

Money is given where money is due

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is a federal agency that distributes benefits to almost 69 million Americans every month. These benefits are known as Social Security, which financially assists retirees, survivors of workers, and people with disabilities. There are also Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, which are distributed monthly, but on different dates compared to Social Security benefits.

July is around the corner, which means new rounds of payments are awaiting beneficiaries. The SSA distributes Social Security according to beneficiaries’ birthdays. Should you receive spousal or survivor benefits, your benefits will be distributed according to your spouse’s or the deceased’s birthday. While it may sound confusing, the payment dates are quite simple once comprehended.

The payment date is official for this group

The SSA always distributes the benefits according to a fixed payment schedule to ensure that the payments are distributed efficiently and accordingly. Traditionally, retirement, survivor, and/or disability benefits are distributed on Wednesdays, and it can either be on the second, third, or fourth, depending on the beneficiaries’ birth date of any given month. This schedule is followed for beneficiaries who started claiming benefits after May 1, 1997.

Anyone who started claiming benefits before May 1, 1997, will receive their benefits on a different date, which is also indicated on the official payment schedule. This schedule is extremely helpful in terms of monthly budgeting and planning. According to the Social Security payment schedule, the following group of beneficiaries will be receiving their Social Security on the second Wednesday, July 9, 2025:

  • Beneficiaries with birth dates on the 1st to the 10th of any given month

If you fall into the abovementioned category, then buckle up, because your Social Security will be paid out in 11 days. If you do not receive your payment on July 9, 2025, the SSA advises waiting three working days before seeking assistance from the agency. If you are one of the 99% who are paid by direct deposit, your payment should be on time.

This group will be receiving maximum payments

In January 2025, beneficiaries received good news about the increased cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). According to the SSA, the increase of 2.5% led to an almost $50 increase in the average monthly benefit, which is almost $1,900.

The average may be almost $1,900, but the maximum payment is $5,108; however, not everyone will qualify for the maximum payment. Your full retirement age (FRA), as well as the age you start claiming benefits, will determine how much your monthly benefit will be. Waiting to claim until your FRA will result in bigger monthly payments. In recent years, the FRA has gradually increased, and rises by two months for every following birth year.

The SSA stipulates that beneficiaries born between May 2, 1958, and February 28, 1959, will be at their FRA in 2025. Anyone born in 1960 and thereafter will have a FRA of 67, but they can start claiming benefits as early as 62. This will impact the maximum Social Security payment:

  • Maximum payment is $2,831 for age 62
  • Maximum payment is $4,018 for FRA
  • Maximum payment is $5,108 for age 70

Delaying your retirement is thus the loophole everyone has been looking for. For now, let’s be glad that the next payment is in eleven days.
