A robot certainly has been a crowning target for the sci-fi community.

As technology advances, our progress in developing artificial intelligence has come a long way in a very short time frame. AI now rules almost every aspect of our lives, And its about to get a whole lot closer to home than we ever expected. A robot that does domestic chores has been a dream for us all.

One iconic company has made a landmark achievement through its new robot.

You think you need a light bulb when night falls — But scientists created plants that glow after just 10 seconds of sunlight

Scientists want to see inside Earth’s core for the first time — They plan to use ghost particles so tiny 100 trillion pass through your body every second

First satellites noticed the ocean sinking near Antarctica — Then scientists uncovered a massive gravity hole stretching across the frozen continent

How technology advanced us as a society is astonishing

The earliest minds that pictured a future powered by artificial intelligence and robots must be smiling from ear to ear.

Technology now holds a firm grip on society as it plays a critical role in everything from energy generation to the more mundane tasks of everyday life. But as the recent developments in AI have proven, we are far from done in advancing technology and have a long way to go.

Nearly every aspect of our lives is now controlled by technology.

From the digitization of the banking sector to how we vote in elections, and even creating content for social media, have all seen the use of technology and AI as paradigm-shifting developments.

The global tech sector: Cache me if you can

The undeniable truth is that technology is changing.

Some advancements are clearly for the better, such as our ability to study the oceans, revealing new frontiers of human exploration. Other advancements are more aesthetic and only provide a more comfortable way of life.

Examples are the newest features on our iPhones.

Other technological advancements have a darker intention. Like the potential military applications of new tech, which has become a more common feature as nations aim to create new ways to protect themselves.

As we progress as a society, the biggest tech companies in the world are pouring vast amounts of resources and time into the AI race. With every company now boasting the latest and “most advanced AI agent available.”

But as in life, the tech sector does not stand still.

Despite all the great steps forward, the only question that the average Joe has is: how long will it take to get a domesticated robot to do the chores around the house that have become the bane of our existence?

An iconic company has heard our calls for a domestic robot

LG, one of the icons of the modern tech sector, has created the first-ever commercially ready, domesticated robot known as LG CLOiD™.

The AI-powered home robot represents the company’s “Zero Labor Home” vision and can use vision-based technology to perform the long list of household tasks that we hate doing.

Folding clothes? It’s got you covered. Need to unpack the dishwasher? It can handle that too.

The system makes use of LG’s ThinQ ecosystem to automate everyday chores. It looks like a robot on wheels. The head is connected to a circular body, and has two arms, just like us. It rides on a wheeled base and can tilt its torso to reach those hard-to-get-to places in our homes.

It uses AI-based vision language models to interpret the world around it into a structured reality where it can work out basic tasks.

The iconic invention by LG promises to create a more harmonious home for us all and will take the best of what we have developed and roll it into a new robot that will change the makeup of our homes.

And this is just the start.

While some home-based techonology have revealed that not every innovation needs to come from the biggest companies, LG has taken a major step forward in digitizing our homes and lives.
