Several exciting new vehicle models are being launched in March and many of these will make their way to the United States. The market in the US is hungry for innovations, especially in EV SUVs, and luxury sports models are also highly sought-after.

5 new models being released in early 2025

Below are two SUVs, two sports cars, and one crossover hitting the roads in March 2025, each with different selling points for your consideration. Unfortunately, two are unlikely to make it to the United States, but if you’re motivated enough and have the means, you could still find a way to get behind the wheel.

2 EVs being released in March that may catch your eye

Electric vehicles are the most popular drivetrain in the United States at the moment. The global shift to renewable energy is translating well in the automotive sector and consumers have a wide range of vehicle options to choose from. Here are two brand-new battery-electric models hitting showroom floors in March:

Maryland wants to install technology in your car that physically stops you from speeding

Cyclists and hikers pushed back for years, and now Chuckanut Drive’s famous coastal stretch is locked at 35 mph for good

Iowa added yellow borders to its traffic lights to make them easier to see, and drivers’ reactions may show what other states can expect

Kia EV6 2025

The refreshed Kia EV6 crossover, which is a five-passenger compact battery-electric SUV, hasn’t been confirmed for the American market yet, but you’ll be hoping it will be when you see what it has to offer:

  • Updated interior and exterior
  • Dual-motor All-Wheel Drive
  • 800 V DC fast charging
  • Available in ultra-high performance GT trim with 641 hp horsepower in launch mode and sculpted sport seats
  • Cutting-edge technology to simplify the drive
  • Standard Dual Panoramic Displays
  • Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and standard wireless connectivity
  • Head-up display
  • Flat-bottom steering wheel
  • Ambient lighting
  • Earth-inspired interior tones
  • Standard over-the-air updates
  • Auto emergency braking, front, rear, and side parking sensors, and parking collision avoidance-assist

Maruiti-Suzuki e Vitara

Another BEV making its debut in March is the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara SUV. It’s highly unlikely that one makes its way to the United States, but it’s interesting to note what this automaker is delivering. It’s also not far-fetched to imagine that models previously unreleased in the US may be on offer in the future as brands expand their reach.

These are the features of the e Vitara that have drivers wishing it would be exported further afield:

  • Large LED headlights and stocky cladding
  • Standard 18-inch wheels
  • Rear LED light bar
  • Upgraded upmarket cabin
  • Floating 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen
  • 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Fixed panoramic sunroof
  • 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Seven airbags
  • Blind-spot monitor
  • Level 2 ADAS suite
  • 360-degree camera
  • 192.5 Nm torque

3 ICE models hitting the roads in March

Mercedes-Maybach SL680 Monogram Series

The gas-powered Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series convertible is definitely heading for the US market and high-end luxury sports car enthusiasts are thrilled. Here’s why:

  • Dual-tone paint scheme
  • Multi-spoke wheels
  • Redesigned grille with vertical slats
  • White Nappa leather seats, a white dashboard and steering wheel, satin silver trim
  • Quiet exhaust
  • 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine
  • 585 hp and 800 Nm
  • 9-speed automatic gearbox
  • 0-100kph in 4.1 seconds

Volvo X90 Facelift

The Volvo X90 Facelift SUV is another ICE definitely going to be available on the American market, and the seven-seater has features you didn’t know you needed until you find out what they are:

  • The original form of the XC90 is the recipient of the most awards ever won by a vehicle
  • B-badged gasoline hybrid powertrain
  • All-wheel drive
  • Turbo-charged 2.0-liter engine
  • Automatic transmission
  • Eight-speed automatic transmission
  • 48 V hybrid system
  • Reduced tailpipe emissions and fuel savings
  • Stronger on-road performance
  • Plug-in hybrid gasoline-electric motor

MG Cyberster

The MG Cyberstar sports car is not intended for the US market, which is a shame when it’s shaping up to be such a winner on the road. This is what Americans will be missing out on:

  • Signature scissor doors
  • Fully electric fabric hood
  • 0-62mph in 5.0 seconds
  • 340PS (250kW) and maximum torque of 350 lb ft (475 Nm)
  • Seven-year, 80,000-mile warranty
  • Dual-motor, all-wheel-drive GT

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle and none of the above are catching your eye, you may want to consider Consumer Reports‘ ratings of the top cars with the safest ADAS systems if safety is a priority.
