In a world where the automotive industry is fighting to keep the environment clean, imagine a vehicle that leaves behind only a trail of water vapour. That is what BMW is trying to initiate to ensure that there is no smoke, pollution, or battery charging. Yes, that is right, no battery charging. It sounds ironic considering that BMW is an electric vehicle. BMW, the German automaker, has decided to make a shift and a difference in the economy by supporting hydrogen innovation in a way that is unexpected and has never been seen before. BMW is partnering with RONN Inc. to dive deeper into a zero-emission fuel cell-powered vehicle.

BMW and a hydrogen pioneer collaborate to challenge the clean mobility status quo

According to Hydrogen Central, RONN Inc. (OTC:RONN) made a public announcement that it will be meeting with the media, industry enthusiasts, and investors to talk about its vision on how to implement the Hyper Hydrogen Concept Automobile within the market. Additionally, a $100 million MOU has been signed.

The company plans to collaborate with BMW, but this time around, it has nothing to do with electric batteries; but hydrogen.

BMW is planning on going just with water and no electricity. Not to say it plans to replace EVs, but the goal is to broaden its spectrum and utilise hydrogen as an alternative. With hydrogen being a hailed fuel resource, BMW saw it fit to expand its clean solutions, especially for vehicles that require long-range driving and within locations where getting charging stations can be hard.

The main reason behind RONN’s initiative to go hydrogen

There are esteemed car companies such as Bugatti, Pagani, and Koenigsegg, and the founder of RONN Inc., Ronn Ford, has always wanted something better and bigger that can compete with the mentioned esteemed car brands. Therefore, the creation of the Scorpion hydrogen hybrid is part of the plan to kick-start this push.

As BMW’s new technology quickens the hydrogen revolution, RONN Inc. broadens its hydrogen vision

While RONN Inc. is expanding its fuel options, BMW is going blue with ‘something never seen before’. The EV company validated and confirmed hydrogen as a key component for fuel energy within the global transportation industry, and because of that, RONN wants to integrate with BMW. Its focus on hydrogen does not mean it is dismissing electric vehicles.

There are surrounding negative factors regarding hydrogen, such as inadequate storage and infrastructure, but BMW claims to have “solved the problem of hydrogen engines”. This type of assurance and confidence is one that is pushing it to launch hydrogen vehicles in the near future and indicates how it wants to grow as a brand and not focus on one thing and move away from traditional fuels too.

Why is the auto industry paying close attention to this technology?

This new strategy by BMW aims to redefine what eco-friendliness means in the industry. The picture looks like this: A typical premium-looking BMW driven on the road without the need to be plugged in, only releasing water vapour. On the other hand, RONN wants to push prototypes to 2026, and the company intends to develop modular hydrogen car platforms.

BMW is also shifting gears, that is, from EV leader to hydrogen pioneer, and the fact that it has incorporated hydrogen marks significance for the car brand. The German automaker wants to have its production launched by 2028 as it partners with Toyota. BMW is planning to break the industry and showcase a broader innovative way of doing things in a world that is rushing to go green. Furthermore, RONN Inc. aims to expedite the development of a high-performance, exotic hydrogen car by perhaps incorporating BMW’s proven hydrogen engine technology.
