Built to haul 3,600 tons over the Wasatch Range, the world’s largest steam locomotive hides a trick inside its 133 foot frame that lets it bend through a mountain curve

Soviet engineers built a 73 meter “monster” armed with six missiles to ride the invisible force that lifts every airplane in its final feet above the runway, and that same force just became a two seat vehicle anyone can buy

They built 13,500 ton machine called “Big Muskie,” the largest ever to walk the Earth, to rip the coal out of rural Ohio, and the 10,000 acres it tore apart are now a savanna where rhinos and giraffes roam

There is nothing as annoying as purchasing a car and realising that it has been recalled because of faults that can put your life at risk. About 137,000 cars in the United States have been recalled by Kia, with serious warnings such as the engines can catch fire. The (NHTSA) has flagged models from this automaker because the lives of people are now in danger.

What is causing the fire risk? The dangerous engine defects explained

The primary cause of this recall is because of the damaged engines. According to Delaware Online, it is possible that the piston oil control rings were made improperly, which could harm the engine. Damage to the engine may result in a car stalling or catching fire, raising the possibility of an accident or injury. If you own these Kia car models, 2021-2023 Seltos and Soul vehicles, then you need to take action ASAP!

The affected vehicles that need a recall

The recall covers 137,256 vehicles across two Kia models. In total, 53,635 Kia Seltos SUVs and 83,621 Kia Soul hatchbacks are affected, all equipped with the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter “Nu” multi-point injection engine.

Both models were assembled at the Kia Autoland Hwaseong plant in South Korea and cover the 2021 to 2023 model years. The higher-end Seltos S-Line and SX models with the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine are not affected by this recall.

What you need to do is go on their websites; this can be on the official NHTSA recall website or the car brands as well, and type in your vehicle identification number (VIN). Most of these vehicles are still being driven on streets and roads in America, and just because your vehicle is not showing signs of engine defects, it is advisable you still do the check procedure because it is only a matter of time.

Note that car dealerships will inspect, fix and repair the damaged engines for free. The waiting period might be too much considering that about 137,000 car owners are affected. To emphasise the seriousness of the fire danger, some automakers are now warning owners not to keep their cars in enclosed areas like garages until repairs are finished.

What takes place next? How drivers and automakers are reacting

Recalls are nerve-racking because they place many people’s lives on hold, especially those who depend on their vehicles for daily transportation. Also, this recall is one of the biggest in the past few years, making many people ask a lot of questions in terms of manufacturing processes, quality inspection, test drives, and many more. Kia’s reputation is on the line as well.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, drivers just need to take rapid action. Ignoring a recall such as this one is just a danger to everyone. This recall, which puts over 137,000 vehicles in danger, is a clear reminder that even the most cutting-edge automakers can encounter significant manufacturing difficulties. However, at the moment, safety comes first.
