The automotive company that revolutionized the industry and society as we know it has been around for 122 years. Founded by Henry Ford, the company has produced numerous memorable cars, from the first car that was accessible to the middle class to the very first pony car that broke record sales. Now, recalls had to be made over engine stall concerns. Check the list of every model affected.

Ford recalls more cars over a stalling issue

The proudly American automotive company, Ford, faced an unfortunate problem with one of its beloved cars. An investigation was started on February 27 after an internal review by the Campaign Prevention team revealed that these specific Ford models had a contact condition between the hose and harness. The engine coolant hose that goes to the heater core had to be relocated.

The relocation results in an even bigger problem. The engine’s coolant hose C-clip accessory on the wire harness could result in harsh contact, which gradually degrades the external wire insulation. According to Ford, the damaged valves could then fall into the engine combustion chamber, causing the engine to stall. A stalling engine can have catastrophic implications as the possibility of a crash increases. All Ford models of concern are advised by the Dearborn-based automaker to be taken to any dealership to relocate the coolant hose clip and rectify the issue as needed.

These Ford models are of concern

We realise that you might be quite concerned by now, so it is crucial to determine which Ford models have been affected by the engine issue. According to Autoevolution, the following cars are being recalled:

  • 2025.5 Ford F-150 2.7-liter EcoBoost
  • 2025.5 Ford F-150 3.0-liter EcoBoost

If you are uncertain whether your car has been affected by the faulty engine, you can search the affected VINs on the official Ford consumer website. Autoevolution indicated that Michigan’s Dearborn Truck Plant produced all of the recalled F-150 EcoBoost cars, which presently has nearly 3,790 employees. Someone is going to get a good talking to!

The Dearborn Truck Plant is not alone, as Claycomo, Missouri’s Kansas City Assembly Plant also manufactures the F-150. Both Ford and Lincoln are reportedly recalling almost 91,000 models with the affected 2.7-liter and 3.0-liter EcoBoost engines.

This is what you should do if your car has been affected

All affected owners will receive notice letters, which will be mailed on July 28, 2025. If you did not receive a letter, but remain uncertain, it is best to be safe rather than sorry. Make sure you visit your nearest Ford dealership as soon as possible. According to Ford, the dealership will inspect your car’s engine and replace the engine’s wire harness when required. The engine’s coolant hose will also be relocated.

Before you start worrying about all the unnecessary costs, the whole thing will be done with no additional cost. Ford owners can also reach out to Ford’s customer service line at 1-866-436-7332. Make sure that you have recall number 25S63 written down and on hand when making an enquiry.

The recalls are a shame, as the F-150 cars are quite impressive, as their towing capacity is 8,400 pounds and the payload capacity is 1,775 pounds. Of course, if you thought about saving a penny or two on gas, think again, as the 2025 F-150 2.7-liter nets up to 21 miles per gallon in 2-wheel drive. The 3.5-liter PowerBoost, a hybrid car based on the 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6, will come with 23 miles per gallon. Ford has been making headlines for numerous recalls, so we hope that somehow and somewhere, they will be able to prevent them more in the future.

For more information about this recall, check the report 25V-25S63 from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
