Brains rewiring at any age

Human brains are remarkable and mysterious.

For generations, biologists and scientists have been studying our brains to get to the bottom of several intriguing questions. As our scientific prowess improves, new findings are being made that reshape the scientific community and rewire how we think about ourselves.

Do you believe that you can rewire your brain at any age?

How your body handled this flu season may reveal if you carry Neanderthal DNA, scientists say

Scientists thought telepathy was impossible until a breakthrough experiment showed thoughts can be transmitted without speaking

Archaeologists digging in New Mexico uncovered something unexpected — It’s even older than the Great Lakes

How we as humans have adapted to our surroundings over time

Through decades of study, science has proven that our immediate surroundings have forced us as humans to adapt.

The population of Tibet has evolved significant genetic mutations that allow them to use the oxygen in the air more efficiently. Even the ancient Inuit tribe in the Arctic has evolved genetic variants that help their bodies’ metabolism deal with the exceedingly cold weather,

The Bajau of Southeast Asia have become known as “Sea Nomads” who have spleens that are roughly 50% larger than the average human.

Science has proven that in cold climates, short, stocky builds and narrow, longer noses have been found in fossils of humans. While in the warmer climates, long limbs allow for heat to dissipate more easily.

Human biology has shifted as new findings rewrite our lineage

Human biology is in a constant state of evolution.

We now know that human brains have actually shrunk by 10% over the past 100,000 years. Our jaws and teeth have also been getting smaller as our ancestors developed tools and new cooking techniques to make eating easier.

Through the efforts of the archaeological community, we now have a clearer picture of human migration into Eurasia from Africa.

Our progress as a civilization has also adapted as humans set up farming communities. The wide range of diseases from domestic farm animals forced our bodies to adapt and develop new genetic variants that could handle the new bacteria.

Thanks to the remarkable discoveries made in caves around the world, we have developed new theories of how human intelligence adapted over time.

A major contributor to our collective knowledge of self is Dr. Andrew Huberman, a neuroscientist who recently revealed an astonishing truth while chatting about our history on a podcast. The Diary of a CEO has become one of the most popular podcasts in the world.

During the full podcast with Andrew Huberman, the doc made a remarkable statement that may rewrite our knowledge of human biology.

Old dogs can, in fact, learn new tricks, according to Dr. Huberman

While talking with the host of Diary of a CEO, Dr. Andrew Huberman stated that our brains have the capacity to be rewired at nearly any age.

The process is known as neuroplasticity, and the revelation is that no matter how old you might be, your brain has a unique ability to adapt and rewire the central command center. Science shows us that anyone under the age of 35 is essentially a blank canvas as the brain rewires itself through the experience of life.

This takes place organically for the younger generation, while fully developed adult brains need a deliberate effort on our parts to rewire themselves.

You can rewire your brain at any age Dr Andrew Huberman reveals that your brain never truly stops changing. Through consistent habits, focus, and repetition, you can literally reshape the way your mind thinks and reacts, even later in life. What’s one habit you wish you could rewire your brain to change? #brain #rewire #podcast

Our brains can rewire and rewrite our biology over time

Our bodies and brains hide the truth about biology, and need substantial studies to be conducted to get to the bottom of the most pressing questions.

The reality, according to Dr. Huberman, is that as we age, our brain’s ability to rewire itself becomes harder, but it certainly is not impossible; it just takes a little bit more deliberate effort from us.

For decades, we have spent an inordinate amount of time studying our brains, and we now know that our age does not necessarily play a part in our ability to adapt to our surroundings.

Could you rewire your brain to adapt to your surroundings if needed?
