This state is said to be the last great wilderness of the United States. It consists of 365 million acres, but less than 1/20th of 1% is populated, which means this great land is as natural as you can get. There is some good news for this state’s citizens, as they could qualify for $1,000 cash. However, tomorrow is one of the remaining payment dates for eligible applicants, so ensure you check the eligibility requirements today. You never know, you could earn some additional money.
This is why dividends are most welcome in this state
This particular state is significantly isolated, which is great for its pristine and majestic natural environment. However, for the state’s significantly scattered and small population, it is not so great, especially considering the cost of living. Its isolation results in many goods, particularly imported ones, being more expensive than in the Lower 48 states, making this state’s cost of living quite high.
According to the Anchorage Daily News, the following factors significantly contribute to this state’s high cost of living:
- Limited infrastructure
- This state’s infrastructure is less developed compared to others, which increases housing and utility expenses
- Transportation costs
- Its location and terrain are remote and rugged; thus, the majority of goods must be shipped, which is expensive, increasing the price of goods in general
- Essential goods
- Goods such as housing, groceries, and daily supplies tend to be more expensive due to the first two factors
Thankfully, this state will be paying it forward to its citizens, as some of them will qualify for $1,000, all thanks to its state initiative. Will you qualify?
Only these citizens will qualify for $1,000
According to the Daily Express U.S., this state initiative has been operational since 1982, and distributes an annual dividend obtained from the revenue of oil and minerals. As per the official program website, the total payment amount is determined by the number of qualifying applications per dividend year and 50% of the statutory net income averaged over five of the most recent fiscal years.
However, citizens will only receive payments from this state initiative if they meet the following Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend eligibility requirements:
- You reside in Alaska
- You have not claimed residency in another state in 2024
- You plan on staying in Alaska indefinitely
- You resided in Alaska for a minimum of 72 consecutive hours between 2023 and 2024
- You have not been convicted of a felony, or incarcerated for a felony or misdemeanor, due to a previous felony in 2024
- You applied for the dividend by the application deadline
- Your status is “Eligible-Not Paid” on the system
This is the last day to receive a cash rain
“Our mission is to administer the permanent fund dividend program assuring that all eligible Alaskans receive timely dividends, fraud is prosecuted, and all internal and external stakeholders are treated with respect.” – PFD Division Director Genevieve Wojtusik
According to the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend, if your application status was “Eligible-Not Paid” on September 3, 2025, then you will be receiving a cash dividend tomorrow, September 11, 2025. After tomorrow, there will only be two more payment dates left for 2025 for those in the “Eligible-Not Paid” status. The next application cycle will reportedly reopen on June 1, 2026.
