A car says a lot about you as a person. With one glance, it can reveal your personality, your tastes, and even your desires. Perhaps you are a thrill-seeker with a sports model, or a more family-oriented, practical person with an SUV. Perhaps you are the driver of a brand that could result in up to $1,750 hitting your pocket. That’s right, qualifying people could make some additional money soon. Check if you qualify and file a claim before the deadline date.

$1,750 will be hitting the pockets of drivers of this car brand

Owners of this Japanese car brand can be labeled as practical, yet tasteful, and appreciative of a little fun. At least, that’s Skypark Secure’s opinion on anyone who drives a Mazda. Mazda has come a long way, and the brand has evolved along with technology. All Mazdas have a Mazda Connect infotainment system, and it enables accessibility to navigation, phone calls, and other smart features.

Unfortunately, this infotainment system has resulted in a class action lawsuit, as many drivers have reported it to be malfunctioning and causing technical glitches, which include:

This is the last straw — New Yorkers automatically owe $45 as mandatory payment quietly begins on February

“This caught retirees off guard”: One group will be forced to repay COLA increase in just 8 weeks

Social Security Disability payments are increasing — and for many Americans, it couldn’t come at a better time

  • Audio and video errors
  • Stuck in a bootloop
  • Unresponsiveness
  • System freezes
  • System reboots

These glitches are very distracting to drivers and impact both driver and road safety. Mazda agreed to a settlement to resolve the allegations made against its infotainment system.

Only this group of people will qualify to claim

Only one group of people in the US and any of its territories will qualify to claim from this settlement, and it includes present and prior owners and lessors of the following Mazda models:

  • Mazda2 (2016-2022)
  • Mazda3 (2014-2018)
  • Mazda6 (2016-2021)
  • Mazda CX-3 (2016-2021)
  • Mazda CX-5 (2016-2020)
  • Mazda CX-9 (2016-2020)
  • Mazda MX-5 (2016-2023)

You can also visit the settlement’s official website to see whether your Mazda car is covered by the class action settlement. All you have to do is use the VIN lookup page. All class members will be qualified to claim certain reimbursements from this settlement.

Out-of-pocket losses

Class members can claim up to $1,750 per car. These losses include any losses experienced due to:

  • Software updates
  • Software repairs
  • Repairs or replacements of the connectivity master unit
  • Repairs or replacements of SD cards
  • Repairs or replacements display and rear-view camera

Additional benefits

All class members automatically qualify for a limited warranty extension for their new car. This covers software updates or necessary connectivity master unit repairs or replacements for 24 months from the expiration of the limited warranty.

A valid claim form must be submitted by this date

All class members must file a valid claim form by the deadline to receive reimbursements and/or benefits from the settlement. Claim forms can be submitted online, or a PDF hard copy can be downloaded and mailed to the Claims Administrator (Mazda Infotainment Settlement). The address is: c/o JND Legal Administration, P.O. Box 91494, Seattle, WA 98111. The deadline to submit a valid claim is August 1, 2025.

Class members must include supporting documentation as proof of purchase for all out-of-pocket losses. This documentation includes:

  • Original invoices, or
  • Legible photocopies of invoices, or
  • Records such as third-party receipts, invoices and repair orders, or bills

The court has scheduled a final approval hearing on July 28, 2025, for the Mazda Connect infotainment settlement. Once the Mazda Connect infotainment settlement receives final approval and the appeals are settled, the distribution of reimbursements and benefits will officially begin.

While you await the outcome of the final approval hearing on July 28, 2025, have a look at some other class action lawsuit settlements for any potential reimbursements and/or benefits. For more information about this settlement, you can visit Top Class Actions and get informed about how to file a claim.

Disclaimer: You should not submit false or inflated claims under penalty of perjury, as class‑action claim forms historically required declarations signed “under penalty of perjury” to ensure authenticity. Submitting a fraudulent claim not only carries legal exposure—including potential civil and criminal sanctions—but also harms other eligible class members by diluting the available settlement pool.
